Mural of "Fallen Industry"
Back 20 years ago, Pula was industrial city. Shipyard and various factories provided a decent life to the half of the city population. Nowadays, the dominant trend of deindustrialization, and economy based only on tourism, is devastating for welfare of Pula's citizens.
This street art piece is dedicated to shipyard Uljanik which was one of the last bastions of Pula's industry. Continuous and ubiquitous sale of public goods in favor of private interests results in an existential crisis for many of us. The modified pattern of Louis Vuitton represents the shipyard as a pure commodity for sale.
