Mural of "Latinoamerica LUCHA"
In 2019, in Chile, were huge mass demonstrations against neoliberal policies. Civil protests took place throughout Chile in response to a raise in the Santiago Metro's subway fare, the increased cost of living, privatisation and inequality prevalent in the country.
The mural is drawn on the former prison in Las Barracas barrio, Buenos Aires. Silhouette of the portrait belongs to a native Latin-American woman. Inside the portrait is a woman with a flag of Mapuche people (native people who suffered the most from colonial policies), and the Wiphala - a square emblem commonly used as a flag to represent some native peoples of the Andes that include today's Peru, Bolivia, and parts of Ecuador, Argentina, Chile and Colombia.
